Growing up watching Candid Camera made a big impact on me.  My favorite segments were those where the host, Alan Funt, communicated with children.  Over time I’ve attempted to incorporate his relaxed communication style into how I photograph children.  Although I can’t totally hide a camera, I have developed my ability to get a child to relax in front of my lens.  Clients tease me about my automatic “kid” mode.” I make simple conversation with them. Instead of talking at them, I talk with them. Coaxing an amazing smile or encouraging an authentic pose is what I consider a job well done on my part.
One of my favorite types of assignments is to work with a school. The set up is simple for them and my assigned task for the day is usually to capture the child in their natural, daily habitat if you will.  As you’ll see in these examples, I love what I do and I hope you will agree that most parents in turn, will love my work too.

Passionately capturing what's important to you...
