The great violinist, Jascha Heifitz, described the genius of his playing as being beyond thinking about technique—a second nature.  He saw his violin as an extension of his body.

For over 30 years, Lawrence Tallis has approached photography in much the same way, with the camera as his instrument. A true craftsman, he has been a sought after teacher and lecturer at the university level throughout his career.

“When I pick up my camera, I know that I can concentrate on my subjects because the technical issues are second nature, " Larry says.

For three decades, Lawrence Tallis Photographers has been able to remain on photography's cutting edge. According to Larry, switching from film to digital imaging in 2003 has reinvigorated the firm's work. They are now able to create custom albums without the use of templates, ensuring that each assignment is uniquely different and special.

Larry's expertise has taken him from Coast to Coast, his success built on many years of word-of-mouth recommendations. As a result, Larry has often been called upon to photograph three life cycle events for many of his clients.

"Wedding clients from years ago have hired me to photograph their children’s Bar or Bat Mitzvahs," Larry says proudly. "Years later, they allow me the privilege of photographing their children’s weddings."
